Everyone including me and you play video games or ever played video games, While playing video games we often do cheating using cheat codes.

We all remember some cheat codes of our favorite video games if we play them now or not. Do you remember “THUGSTOOLS”, “LEAVEMEALONE”, “PANZER”, “FANNYMAGNET”, “HESOYAM”, “ROCKETMAN” and many other, if you remember them comment below your favorite cheat codes.

Cheat codes are used for various purpose like skipping levels, changing outfit, resetting wanted level, infinite health and money, etc.

In the starting years the games made were very simple but today we play Hi-tech and advanced games. So, when those simple games were made, the Game Developers made some codes and set them in a game at different levels to check the proper functioning of game at those levels. Basically to test next levels without completing previous levels and when you enter those  code you can skip those levels. so, that was the starting of cheat codes and at that time these were not meant for cheating.

But later when people used those games and show their interest in cheat codes because they experienced that using cheat codes they can skip levels, change theme, etc. then they start using cheat codes.

Cheat codes become popular because users liked them a lot and refer to their friends, when developers come to know that users are enjoying games with cheat codes and their games are becoming popular then developers started to provide cheat codes with games. After that cheat codes become more popular. I think in any game like GTA vice city or SanAndreas you remember cheats for different purpose like health refill, increase wanted level, spawn vehicle, etc. if you remember then comment below.

Current Status of Cheat Codes

Nowadays cheat codes are not that much popular because,

 After the starting of online games , popularity of cheat codes has decreased because in an online game developers try to provide a equal platform to all the users because due to use cheat code a player can beat another player very easily who is playing genuinely without using cheat codes. Due to that reason in online games use of cheat codes is banned. If any user apply any cheat code in an online game in most of the cases he/she will get banned.

If you are playing video game at home ‘offline’ that’s a different matter but if you are playing a online game then you can’t use a cheat codes infact you wanted to do so.

You can find secret places, weapons, shortcuts, etc. but by playing game genuinely and spending a lot of time.
